Backend Engineer

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain backend services with a strong focus on database performance and scalability. • Design, optimize, and manage PostgreSQL databases for high-performance applications. • Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies. • Ensure data integrity, security, and backup/recovery strategies for databases. • Work with AWS services such as RDS (PostgreSQL), S3, and Lambda for database operations. • Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs for data access and integration. • Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams for seamless application deployment. • Utilize Bitbucket for version control and code collaboration. Skills & Qualifications Required Skills and Experience: • 10+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with a focus on databases. • Expertise in PostgreSQL, SQL, and database performance optimization. • Strong backend development experience using Node.js, Python, or Java. • Experience in query optimization, indexing, and stored procedures. • Familiarity with Bitbucket for version control and collaboration. • Experience working with AWS database services (RDS, DynamoDB, etc.). • Knowledge of API development and backend frameworks
