Backend Engineer (3+ YOE)

Backend Engineer (3+ Years Experience | Remote)

What You’ll Do

• Report directly to the Backend Lead and collaborate with product managers, designers & developers
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services & APIs
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot issues and identify improvements
• Define and refine technical & design requirements
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify new features and deliver clean, maintainable architectures
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to build cohesive, high-performance user experiences
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
• Perform backend and API performance testing
• Monitor industry trends to propose new ideas, features & improvements
• Take ownership and lead backend projects when needed
• Continue learning new backend technologies, languages, and best practices

You’ll Be Great at This If You:

• Have

  3+ years

  of backend development experience
• Are strong with

  Node.js / Python / Go

  (any strong backend stack works)
• Have experience building scalable REST APIs & microservices
• Understand databases deeply — SQL, NoSQL, schema design, optimization
• Are comfortable debugging, profiling & optimizing backend systems
• Have good knowledge of CI/CD, version control & cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Can work independently and own end-to-end backend modules
• Have a product-driven mindset — not just code, but user impact

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience with queues, caching, and distributed systems
• Built high-scale systems or SaaS platforms
• Worked with AI/LLM-driven pipelines (OpenAI, LangChain, vector DBs)
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Strong experience in performance optimization
• Side projects, open-source contributions, or a strong GitHub
