Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and services.
- Collaborate with product and frontend teams to define and deliver new features.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability of backend infrastructure.
- Work with databases (SQL & NoSQL) to design efficient and scalable schemas.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection protocols.
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code.
- Set up background jobs, cron tasks, and integrations with third-party services.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system resilience.
Skill Requirements
- Hands on experience in backend development using Node.js, Typescript or Python.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and microservice architectures.
- Proficiency in working with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with data security, authentication flows, token management (JWT/OAuth).
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Understanding of DevOps basics, CI/CD, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure or DigitalOcean).
- Good grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Good understanding of System Design and Software Development Life Cycle.
Good to Have
- Experience with NestJS, and Express.js.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
- Understanding of healthcare data compliance (HIPAA, NDHM, etc.) is a plus.
- Good understanding of Linux Administration and work experience in and with online health care systems with other companies in the past can be a bonus.
