Job Overview: As an SDE 3 at BimaKavach, you will be a key contributor to building robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that power our innovative insurance platform. You will take ownership of critical modules, design and implement solutions, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of our core services. This role requires a strong understanding of distributed systems, database management, and cloud architecture, with a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences through solid backend engineering. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy scalable and resilient backend services using Node.js and Nest.js. Develop and manage APIs that integrate with various frontend and third-party systems. Work extensively with PostgreSQL to design database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity and performance. Deploy and manage applications on AWS EC2, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the entire stack, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and deliverables. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes, tools, and system architecture. (Good to have): Work with AWS Lambda/Google Cloud Functions for serverless architectures where applicable. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5-6 years of professional experience in backend software development. Must have strong proficiency in Node.js and Nest.js. Expertise in database design and optimization with PostgreSQL. Solid experience with AWS EC2 for deployment and infrastructure management. Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. (Good to have): Experience with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions.
