BACKEND DEVELOPER (Python / Django)

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate Backend Software Engineer to join our core product team. In

this role, you’ll architect and build scalable backend systems that power our digital collectibles

and gifting ecosystem. You’ll work closely with frontend, mobile, and product teams to deliver

high-quality, data-driven experiences that feel seamless to our users.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves Python, Django, and modern GraphQL

architecture, and is excited about solving complex product challenges at scale.

What You’ll Do

● Design, build, and maintain robust backend APIs and services using Python

(Django).

● Implement and optimize GraphQL APIs, integrating with Apollo clients across

platforms.

● Build scalable and efficient data models using PostgreSQL.

● Manage service containerization and deployment using Docker.

● Develop and manage background tasks and asynchronous workflows with Celery.● Collaborate with the product and frontend teams (React, Flutter) to deliver cohesive

experiences.

● Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on performance and scalability.

● Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape the technical direction of the

product.

Your Background

● 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software engineering.

● Strong command of Python and deep experience with the Django framework.

● Proven experience building and consuming GraphQL APIs (Apollo familiarity preferred).

● Proficiency with PostgreSQL — schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.

● Strong understanding of Docker and container-based development.

● Good understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, and React to collaborate effectively

with frontend teams.

● Experience with Celery for task queues and background processing.

● Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.

Nice to Have

● Exposure to Flutter and Firebase (Crashlytics).

● Experience with Poetry (Python dependency management).

● Prior experience working in fast-paced startup environments or building digital-first

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
