Backend Developer (Lead)

EasyDo is looking for an experienced Lead Backend Developer to join our mission of transforming how MSMEs operate. As the technical lead for our backend team, you will own the core infrastructure that powers EasyDo 365 —our mobile-first workplace platform designed to make business management simple, accessible, and scalable. As the Lead Backend Developer, you will lead a team of backend developers to spearhead the optimization of our backend system and build a robust, scalable application ready to go to market. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the development team in an Agile fashion, using JIRA and sprint formats for project management ⁃ You will be reporting the team’s progress directly to the board • Lead the design, development, and scaling of our backend architecture. • Collaborate closely with product, mobile, and design teams to deliver reliable features and performance. • Establish best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps. • Mentor backend engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence. Required Skills & Experience: • 5+ years of backend development experience, with team or project leadership. • Proficiency in Test Driven Development - including unit, integration and regression testing processes. • Expertise in developing scalable backend systems using micro service architecture for modular deployment. • In-depth understanding of and hand-on experience with relational databases—MySQL / PostgreSQL preferred. • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, Git, and agile development. • Strong communication and leadership skills. • Proficiency in writing clean, well-tested, and well-documented code.
