What You’ll Do

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling our backend systems.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Designing, developing, and maintaining robust, modular backend services
• Building RESTful APIs with a focus on scalability and security
• Managing data with SQL, writing optimized queries, and schema design
• Architecting and deploying services in a microservices environment
• Using message brokers for async communication
• Implementing caching for performance optimization
• Writing unit, integration, and API tests
• Containerizing apps with Docker, deploying via CI/CD pipelines
• Deploying and managing infrastructure on AWS
• Monitoring and debugging systems using logging and APM tools
• Participating in design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of dev workflows
• Following best practices around API versioning, rate limiting, and observability
  

What We're Looking For

• 0 – 2 years of backend development experience
• Strong foundation in Java, Spring boot and / or .NET (C#)
• Solid understanding of SQL, PostgreSQL preferred
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, service orchestration, and inter- service communication
• Experience with messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
• Knowledge of caching layers (e.g., Redis, Memcached) for performance tuning
• Experience in building, testing, and documenting REST APIs
• Working knowledge and hands on experience of Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS)
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and metrics collection
• Bonus: Exposure to C#, .NET Core, or Azure is a plus
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
