Job Title: Backend Developer (Python/Django) Location: On-site Experience Required: 3+ years Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a talented Backend Developer with strong experience in Python and Django to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about backend development, performance optimisation, and building scalable APIs. Experience with frontend frameworks like React.js and content management systems like Wagtail CMS is a plus , but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable backend applications using Python and Django . Design and implement RESTful APIs to support frontend and mobile applications. Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality products. Optimise application performance, data storage, and backend processes. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following industry best practices. Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration. Debug and resolve production issues and bugs. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field (Mandatory). 2+ years of professional experience with Python and Django . Strong understanding of RESTful API design and backend architecture. Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL . Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git . Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good to Have Hands-on experience or familiarity with React.js . Experience or exposure to Wagtail CMS . Understanding of deployment processes and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP ) Basic knowledge of containerisation using Docker. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and automated testing.
