Back End Developer Intern

About the Role: We are seeking a motivated backend intern to join our team and assist in enhancing our web crawling systems. In this role, you will focus on improving the extraction of structured data from various websites by working with category-level pages and fine-tuning the logic behind data selectors. For someone who likes to tackle practical technical problems and is interested in the process of transferring data from the web into organized systems, this is a hands-on role that is perfect.

Responsibilities:

● Configure category URLs for crawling across multiple websites.

● Analyze page structures to identify appropriate CSS/XPath selectors for data extraction.

● Troubleshoot and resolve issues when site layouts change or crawlers break.

● Ensure data consistency and accuracy across crawled outputs.

What We’re Looking For:

● Proficiency in Python and experience with libraries like BeautifulSoup and Scrapy.

● A fundamental understanding of XPath, HTML, and CSS selectors.

● Familiarity with JSON and REST APIs.

● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● A desire to adapt and learn new things fast.

● Experience with version control using Git.

● Proficiency with tools like Playwright, Selenium, or other browser automation frameworks.
