About The Role : User Assistance (UA) Expert The User Assistance expert is a central role in terminology proficiency and documentation of the solution. Excellent English skills (ideally on the level of a native speaker) are required. It is strongly recommended that promising candidates to take the SAP user assistance test (which is part of the standard recruitment process for internal hires and recommended for c-users). It gives a good indication of the language proficiency of the candidate, and of their ability to structure content and write clearly and concisely. Responsibilities Work with product management, development, and other roles to understand the product, and the information needs of customers and partners Based on the release backlog for your area of responsibility, plan the required user assistance deliverables for each development cycle Create and update user assistance deliverables, for example in-app help, user guides, what's new information, and other documentation, according to the relevant SAP standards and guidelines Help ensure good user experience by providing user-friendly, consistent UI texts and terminology, in close collaboration with product management and UX colleagues. Deliver the required user assistance content on time and in quality according to the release schedule. Deep understanding of SAP Product Standards and ability to guide teams implementing Product Standards. Qualifications and skills A university degree, ideally in technical communication or a related subject, such as languages, translation, or communication studies Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (first language-proficiency level) Ability to structure complex content and explain it in written form in a concise and precise manner. Proactive approach to information gathering and problem-solving At least 2 years' professional experience in user assistance / technical writing, or in a related field Experience of working in the software- / IT-industry is an advantage.
