You will play a pivotal role in driving the vision and execution of enterprise-grade data solutions on Microsoft Azure. Your deep experience—including hands-on technical delivery and proficiency in crafting RFPs and high-level solution designs—will establish you as a trusted owner responsible for both strategy and execution.

Experience and Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering with substantial leadership and architectural responsibilities.
• Proven track record creating and responding to RFPs for data-centric projects and crafting HLDs that effectively guide development.
• Deep expertise in the Azure stack—Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS, Azure SQL, with strong architectural judgment.
• Mastery in Python (including PySpark), advanced SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT principles, and pipeline design.
• Skilled at team leadership—mentoring, reviewing deliverables, setting engineering standards, and fostering accountability.
• Strong focus on governance, security (RBAC, encryption, cataloging), monitoring, cost management, and data quality.
• Proficient in implementing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication skills—able to engage with both technical and business stakeholders effectively and influence outcomes.
• Desired extras: Azure certification(s), experience with streaming data, and domain-specific knowledge tailored to your organization's context.
