About the Role

Azure Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  Azure-based data pipelines

  using ADF, Synapse Pipelines, Databricks, and Azure Functions.
• Build and optimize

  data lake and data warehouse

  environments on ADLS Gen2, Synapse Analytics, and Delta Lake.
• Develop and maintain

  ETL/ELT

  workflows for both batch and real-time data processing.
• Implement

  Databricks (PySpark/Scala)

  notebooks for transformation and analytics.
• Collaborate with data analysts and business teams to design efficient data models.
  
• Ensure

  data quality, lineage, governance, and security

  across all data flows.
• Apply

  CI/CD

  , automation, and infrastructure-as-code using Azure DevOps, Terraform, or ARM templates.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance of pipelines, data jobs, and distributed systems.
  
• Integrate data from various sources including API, databases, SaaS applications, and streaming sources.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 510+ years

  of Data Engineering experience with strong Azure expertise.
• Hands-on experience with:
  

• Azure Data Factory

• Azure Databricks

  (PySpark mandatory)

• Azure Synapse Analytics

• ADLS Gen2

• Strong

  SQL

  ,

  PySpark

  , and transformation logic skills.
• Experience working on

  Delta Lake

  and Lakehouse architectures.
• Solid knowledge of

  data modeling

  (dimensional, relational, star/snowflake).
• Experience with

  Azure DevOps

  , Git-based versioning, and automation.
• Good understanding of data security, RBAC, encryption, and Azure IAM.
  
• Experience with

  streaming tools

  like Event Hub, Stream Analytics, or Kafka is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft

  DP-203: Azure Data Engineer Associate

  .
• Exposure to BI tools (Power BI or equivalent).
  
• Experience in data governance using

  Azure Purview

  .
• Knowledge of ML pipelines or MLOps is an added advantage.
