About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Data Engineering Senior Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Architect

  end-to-end AWS-based data engineering solutions

  (S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Lake Formation) for large-scale financial datasets.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to

  understand requirements

  and translate them into robust cloud-native data architectures.
• Design and implement

  ETL/ELT pipelines

  using PySpark, AWS Glue, and Redshift optimized for

  financial data sources

  .
• Develop frameworks for

  data lifecycle management, retention, quality, and auditing

  aligned with RBI, IRDAI, GDPR, and other compliance standards.
• Collaborate with

  DevOps, Data Science, and Application Engineering teams

  to optimize performance and ensure cost efficiency.
• Define

  data governance, metadata management, and security models

  using AWS native and third-party tools.
• Lead

  solution architecture workshops

  , create

  reference architectures

  , and provide

  technical leadership and mentoring

  to development teams.
• Prepare

  technical documentation, proposals, and whitepapers

  to support solution delivery and pre-sales initiatives.
• Stay updated with

  emerging AWS technologies, data privacy regulations, and financial domain trends

  to drive innovation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field

  .

• 10+ years

  of experience in

  data engineering or data architecture

  , with at least

  5+ years on AWS data stack

  .
• Strong hands-on expertise in

  AWS services

  – S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Athena, Lake Formation.
• Deep understanding of

  financial data domains

  – transactional systems, security master, risk management, compliance, AML/Fraud analytics, and regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency in

  Python, PySpark, SQL

  , and data warehousing best practices.
• Experience in

  DataOps/DevOps automation

  using AWS CI/CD tools (CodePipeline, CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.).
• Proven record of

  delivering large-scale cloud data platforms

  in banking, insurance, or capital markets environments.
• Strong

  stakeholder management, communication, and leadership

  skills.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

  preferred.
• Exposure to

  Kafka, Kinesis, or real-time data streaming

  platforms is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in

  regulatory or compliance-driven financial environments

  .
• Previous leadership in

  cloud modernization or data transformation

  initiatives for BFSI clients.
• Familiarity with

  data governance and third-party compliance tools

  (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
