Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and develop data pipelines: Build scalable ETL/ELT workflows using AWS services like Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
Manage AWS resources: Work with EC2, Redshift, EMR-Spark, S3, and other cloud-native tools.
Integrate diverse data sources: Ensure consistency and reliability across structured and unstructured datasets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with data scientists, analysts, and product managers to meet business needs.
Implement data security: Apply IAM roles, encryption, and compliance standards to safeguard data.
Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines: Ensure optimal performance and resolve issues proactively.
Optimize data warehouses and lakes: Maintain Redshift, Athena, and Lake Formation architectures for efficiency.

Required Skills

AWS expertise: Proficiency in services like Glue, Redshift, EMR, S3, Lambda, and Kinesis.
Programming knowledge: Strong skills in Python, SQL, and Spark for data manipulation.
Data modeling: Ability to design schemas and optimize storage for analytics.
Big data technologies: Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or similar frameworks.
Problem-solving: Analytical mindset to troubleshoot and optimize complex systems.
