AWS Cloud Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions on

  AWS

  using services such as

  EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation

  , and

  CloudWatch

  .
• Automate infrastructure deployment and management through tools like

  Terraform

  ,

  CloudFormation

  , and

  AWS CLI

  .
• Monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Optimize AWS infrastructure for cost management, performance, and security best practices.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery exercises using AWS tools (e.g.,

  AWS Backup

  ,

  CloudEndure

  ).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux server performance, security, and connectivity.
• Implement and manage

  CI/CD pipelines

  for automated deployment on Linux-based infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain AWS security best practices, including managing

  IAM roles

  ,

  VPCs

  ,

  NACLs

  ,

  security groups

  , and

  cloud-native security tools

  like

  AWS Shield

  and

  GuardDuty

  .
• Apply OS-level security patches and updates for Linux systems.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Strong knowledge of

  AWS

  services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
• Deep understanding of

  Linux

  OS, including performance tuning, shell scripting, networking, and security.
• Familiarity with

  CI/CD

  tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
• Experience of infrastructure-as-code (e.g.,

  Terraform

  ,

  CloudFormation

  ).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as

  CloudWatch

  ,

  Nagios

  ,

  Prometheus

  , or

  ELK Stack

  .
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
