Tasks Perform standard Simulator support activities. Perform Site Acceptance Test. Carry out maintenance, modifications and/or repairs of FSTD in accordance with Regulatory Authority requirements and company standards. Implement updates and repairs to enhance the performance of the FSTD. Update maintenance data collection records and assist with equipment installation and check-out modifications. Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting design drawings, manuals, or simulator documents. Perform configuration changes to Simulators and FSTD, evaluate and confirm the proper post-change operation. Monitor Simulator(s) performance and condition to ensure compliance with governmental regulations. Location This job is based at the Avion Flight Training Centre Mumbai, located at Juhu Airport. You must have the right to live and work in India. The job is based on a shift pattern, working 4-on, 4-off, made up of days, nights, and weekends. Requirements Entry requirements The Flight Simulator Technician shall have relevant experience in maintenance tasks on FSTD. Furthermore, the Flight Simulator Technician will receive maintenance training from a maintenance manager or a senior Flight Simulator Technician in accordance with the Training syllabus for Flight Simulator Technicians. You have relevant experience running QTGs of FSTDs or must follow a course to fulfil this task. About the job Gen24 is looking for a Core Software Engineer to help develop core software for Full Flight Simulators. The core software facilitates the distributed real-time simulation of all models required for the simulation. It allows the user to interact with the simulation via the Instructor Operating System and generates the simulated graphics for the cockpit displays. It also consists of several Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) used by developers and simulator maintenance personnel. Tasks The IT Executive will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, and maintaining the complete IT infrastructure used in the operation of Level-D full-flight simulators. This includes system networks, simulator support computers, operating systems, backup systems, secure communications, and IT-based compliance processes as per DGCA and OEM guidelines. Simulator IT Systems Support Manage and support simulator-related IT infrastructure, including host computers, IOS stations, server hardware, network switches, and storage. Support OEM tools, diagnostic applications, and monitoring software. Assist with simulator data loading, software updates, and database management.
