Job Title: AV Technical HEAD (Projects and Design) Location: Guwahati Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Audio-Video Equipment Setup Engineer to join our team. This role requires an experienced professional responsible for the setup, configuration, maintenance, and operation of audio and video equipment for a variety of events, productions, and installations. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in audio-visual (AV) systems, the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues, and a commitment to delivering high- quality AV experiences. Key Responsibilities: 1. Setup and Configuration: o o o o Audio Equipment Setup: Install, calibrate, and configure audio systems, including microphones (wired/wireless), speakers, amplifiers, mixing consoles, and signal processors to ensure optimal sound quality. Video Equipment Setup: Configure and install video projectors, LED displays, video screens, cameras, video switching systems, and video recorders for various events. Cabling and Signal Routing: Run and organize cables for audio and video systems, ensuring all connections are secure and provide efficient signal flow. Work with HDMI, SDI, VGA, XLR, TRS, and other professional AV cables. AV Integration: Integrate both audio and video systems, ensuring perfect synchronization for live events, presentations, and recordings. 2. Event Support and Operation: o Live Event Management: Operate AV systems during live events, adjusting sound levels, video feeds, and lighting as necessary to ensure smooth operation. Audio-Video Synchronization: Ensure video content, such as slideshows or videos, is properly synced with live audio. Manage transitions between video clips, images, and live feeds as required. o o Real-Time Troubleshooting: Address any technical issues related to audio or video equipment during events. Resolve problems quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions. 3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: o o o Routine Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on audio and video equipment, including cleaning, testing, and updating software/firmware for mixers, video switchers, and other AV devices. Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose and resolve technical problems in the audio-video setup, including audio distortion, signal loss, video lag, or hardware malfunctions. Ensure all equipment is operating at peak performance. Backup Systems: Set up backup systems to prevent data or system loss during critical moments of an event, including redundant audio-video routing or backup power sources. 4. Collaboration and Coordination: o o o Client and Team Collaboration: Work closely with clients, production teams, and event planners to understand specific audio-video needs for different events and ensure setups align with expectations. Pre-Event Setup Planning: Review floor plans, event details, and AV requirements in advance to plan the equipment setup, placement, and testing procedures before events. On-Site Coordination: Coordinate with technical staff, such as lighting engineers, video operators, and stage managers, to ensure the AV systems integrate seamlessly with other event elements. 5. Post-Event Responsibilities: o Breakdown and Packing: Safely and efficiently break down and pack away all AV equipment after the event. Ensure all equipment is stored correctly for transport to the next event or installation. o Equipment Inventory: Maintain an organized inventory of all audio-video equipment, ensuring any damaged or faulty devices are reported and repaired or replaced promptly. Qualifications: • Experience: Proven experience (at least [X] years) working as an Audio-Video Equipment Engineer, AV Technician, or similar role, specifically focusing on the setup, configuration, and operation of audio and video systems. Technical Skills: • o o o o o In-depth knowledge of professional audio systems (e.g., microphones, mixers, amplifiers) and video equipment (e.g., projectors, cameras, video switchers). Familiarity with AV signal routing, cabling, and integration of both audio and video systems. Experience with video production equipment (e.g., LED screens, video walls, projection systems). Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing AV equipment on-site during events. Understanding of AV control systems and automation software (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron). • • • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with AV control systems, audio software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro), and video software (e.g., OBS Studio, Final Cut Pro). Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure high-quality, error-free setups and a keen eye for visual and auditory details to meet the required standards for events. Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues with both audio and video equipment quickly and effectively. Preferred Qualifications: • Certification: AVIXA CTS certification or equivalent industry-standard qualifications. • • Additional Skills: Familiarity with live streaming, video conferencing systems, or broadcast technology. Work Experience: Previous experience in live event production, corporate presentations, theater productions, concerts, or broadcasting.
