Automation Tester

As a QA Automation Engineer, your role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for web and API testing. You will also be responsible for performing manual testing to validate new features, bug fixes, and regression areas. Collaborating with developers and product teams to identify test requirements and define test scenarios will be an essential part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks, track, report, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, and conduct functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing. Ensuring testing coverage and maintaining detailed documentation of test cases and results are crucial aspects of your role. You will also participate in sprint planning and provide QA estimates for automation and manual efforts. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. You should have up to 2 years of experience in both manual and automation testing. Hands-on experience with Selenium or similar automation tools is necessary, along with a good understanding of API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured. Familiarity with TestNG/JUnit, and version control (Git) is preferred. Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology and possessing strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills are also essential for this position.
