Automation Test Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Automation Test Engineer with 9+ years of dedicated experience in test automation. You will be a pivotal member of our Quality Assurance team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks and test suites to ensure the highest quality of our software products. This role requires a deep understanding of automation best practices, strong technical proficiency in C# and Selenium, and the ability to drive automation initiatives from conception to completion. Key Responsibilities: Design and Develop Automation Frameworks: Architect, develop, and enhance scalable, maintainable, and robust automation frameworks using C# and Selenium WebDriver. Create and Execute Automated Tests: Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing across various applications. Test Strategy & Planning: Contribute to the overall test strategy, identifying areas for automation, defining automation scope, and estimating effort. CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable rapid feedback and efficient releases. Performance & Reliability: Monitor the performance and reliability of automation suites, continuously improving test execution efficiency and reducing false positives. Troubleshooting & Analysis: Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with development teams for timely resolution. Mentorship & Best Practices: Mentor junior automation engineers, promote automation best practices, and contribute to the growth of automation expertise within the team. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with developers, manual QA engineers, and product owners to understand requirements and deliver comprehensive test coverage. Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for automation frameworks, test cases, and processes. Mandatory Skills: C# Proficiency: Expert-level programming skills in C# for developing automation scripts and frameworks. Selenium WebDriver: Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automating web applications. Automation Framework Design: Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks. Test Methodologies: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, cycles, and best practices. CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI). Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git. API Testing: Experience with API automation testing using relevant tools and frameworks. Database Testing: Ability to write SQL queries for backend data validation. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Communication: Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
