Automation Test Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium. Design and implement test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications. Execute automated and manual test cases, analyze results, and report defects. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define test strategies and ensure quality. Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SOAP UI. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Work with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to assess application performance. Develop and maintain test data, mocks, and stubs for testing different scenarios. Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives). Ensure security and compliance standards are met in testing processes. Required Skills & Experience: 3+ years of experience in automation testing. Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright for UI automation. Experience with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools. Strong programming skills in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript for test automation. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps). Familiarity with version control tools like Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub . Experience in BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, TestNG). Hands-on experience in mobile testing using Appium (Android & iOS). Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner). Strong understanding of Agile & Scrum methodologies . Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with cloud-based testing tools like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs . Knowledge of security testing fundamentals. Understanding of containerized testing using Docker & Kubernetes . Education & Certifications: Electrica Engineering mandtory
