Automation QA Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Automation QA Engineer to take ownership of our test automation framework and strategy. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and executing automated tests for web, mobile, and APIs, and a solid understanding of modern CI/CD and DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for: UI Testing (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) API Testing (REST Assured, Postman, Karate) Mobile Testing (Appium, BrowserStack) Performance - Load testing Create robust, reusable, and scalable automated test scripts. Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Execute and analyze test results, log defects, and ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with developers and QA teams to increase test coverage. Participate in code reviews of automation scripts. Analyze test failures and root cause issues in collaboration with engineering teams. Track automation metrics and continuously improve framework performance and coverage. Required Skills: 3+ years of experience in automation testing. Proficiency with tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. Experience in API automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or Karate. Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript. Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git, Jenkins, etc.). Familiarity with Docker, cloud-based testing platforms (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
