Automation Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automation Engineer to join our Automation/QA/Engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Selenium, Playwright, Python, and JavaScript. This role will focus on building RPA bots for automating tasks across web applications, CRMs, and productivity tools like Excel and Word. The engineer will also contribute to manual testing efforts, ensuring comprehensive test coverage, quality, and reliability of business-critical processes.

You will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers, driving automation best practices and delivering high-quality automation solutions.

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated scripts and RPA bots using Selenium, Playwright, Python, and JavaScript.
• Build automation workflows for web applications, CRMs, Excel, and Word.
• Develop and manage automation frameworks for web, API, and backend services.
• Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to define requirements and ensure process coverage.
• Execute automated regression, functional, and integration testing.
• Support manual testing activities where automation is not applicable.
• Identify, analyze, and document defects; collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Maintain scalable, reusable, and efficient automation code.
• Create and manage test data, environments, and execution pipelines.
• Provide detailed reporting on execution results, coverage, and quality metrics.
• Research and implement the latest automation and RPA tools, techniques, and best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 25+ years of hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Python.
• Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory) and JavaScript (preferred).
• Practical experience with Playwright for modern browser automation.
• Proficiency in handling dynamic web elements (XPath, CSS selectors, waits).
• Experience in automating tasks involving Excel (pandas, openpyxl, VBA) and Word (python-docx).
• Familiarity with CRM automation (e.g., EZlynx, Applied EPIC, AMS360, Salesforce, Zoho, Dynamics).
• Knowledge of API testing (Python requests, Postman, RestAssured).
• Strong grasp of manual testing methodologies, test case design, and execution.
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to RPA platforms like UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere.
• Advanced knowledge of Selenium and Playwright frameworks for end-to-end test automation.
• Experience writing robust automation scripts in both Python and JavaScript.
• Hands-on expertise in Excel/Word automation with Python libraries and VBA.
• Familiarity with integrating and automating CRM platforms (EZlynx, Applied EPIC, AMS360, Salesforce, Zoho, Dynamics).
• Strong understanding of API automation frameworks and tools (Postman, RestAssured, Python requests).
• Ability to design, manage, and scale automation frameworks and pipelines for diverse applications.
• Experience with manual + automation hybrid testing approaches, ensuring complete test coverage.
• Ability to quickly adapt to and implement new tools, technologies, and frameworks in the automation ecosystem.
