Job Description

Our client is seeking an Automation Engineer in India for a 6-month contract opportunity. This is a remote role.

Professional Experience

4+ years in QA or software development, including:

2+ years focused on building, maintaining, and executing automated tests in enterprise environments
Proven ability to design/manage automation frameworks for UI, API, performance, and regression

Demonstrated experience with:

Appium (mobile), Postman (API)
Scripting: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Shell
Source control & integration: Git, GitHub
CI/CD: Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Bamboo
Reporting & test runners: Allure, TestNG, JUnit, Zephyr (integration)

Core competencies:

Automation design patterns, BDD/TDD
Data-driven/keyword-driven suites
Environment config & virtualized/containerized execution (Docker, Selenium Grid, BrowserStack)
Strong troubleshooting and analysis
Collaboration in Agile/DevOps teams
Clean, reusable code and maintainable framework design

Certifications

Required (at least one):

ISTQB Certified Tester – Test Automation Engineer
Selenium WebDriver certification (reputable provider)
Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
