Job Description

Role & responsibilities Technical Drawing and Design: Develop precise and accurate technical drawings, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD software. Create 2D and 3D models of various objects, including buildings, machine parts, and other physical structures. Translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings. Software Proficiency: Possess a strong understanding of AutoCAD software and its functionalities. Utilize various CAD tools and techniques to create and modify designs. Organize and manage drawing files and documentation. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project accuracy and meet requirements. Communicate design ideas and technical information clearly and effectively. Quality and Accuracy: Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards, project specifications, and technical requirements. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all design work. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during the design process. Propose and implement design solutions that meet project goals. Other Potential Duties: Review and interpret architectural and engineering sketches and plans. Create documentation and reports related to design projects. Stay updated on the latest AutoCAD software updates and industry trends. Preferred candidate profile Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of demonstrable experience as an AutoCAD drafter. Proficiency in AutoCAD software for 2D/3D modelling. Strong understanding of drafting principles, standards and symbols. Strong attention to detail and precision in design documentation. Excellent organisational, time management and people skills. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
