Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Authorization Specialist, located in Mysore. The Authorization Specialist will be responsible for obtaining prior authorizations for medical procedures and services, verifying patient insurance coverage, and ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted accurately and promptly. Additional responsibilities include maintaining communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve any authorization issues and facilitating a smooth authorization process.

Qualifications

Experience in obtaining prior authorizations and knowledge of medical billing and coding
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using medical billing software and other relevant technology
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently
Previous experience in a healthcare administration role is advantageous
Life science Graduates and additional certification in healthcare administration is a plus
