Assurance Assistant Vice President
Business: Finance Function
Principal Responsibilities
- Preparation of critical Month end deliverables, SOX testing and highlighting of issues to business partner / management.
- Periodic reporting of status of control testing across multiple regional teams.
- Liaise with multiple teams to drive timely completion of control testing as per annual plan.
- Prepare and present various management reports for audit committee and various senior stakeholder.
- Independently drive preparation of various management reports and manage staff performance.
- Strong Knowledge and experience of Internal Audits, Risk Assessment, SOX 404 Internal Controls, COSO Frame work and Guidelines, Process reviews.
- Knowledge of performing audit of regulatory reporting for banking and financial services sector
- Ability to understand the Process, Polices & Procedures to Assess the Effectiveness of underlying controls.
- Ability to interact with the Global Business and Process Owners to review the Process and Internal controls associated with the Business.
- Strong Knowledge in Business Functions for the various Business Areas in HSBC.
- Adhere to the ICMP (Internal Controls Monitoring Plan) and work closely with the In country Controls Team.
- Understanding various Systems and their Functionality which are used by the Business Areas and are Under Scope of SOX Controls.
Customers / Stakeholders
- Internal regional control testing teams and external auditors evaluating controls tested.
- Maintain key stakeholder relationships to enhance awareness of risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control.
- To support and ensure that local management fully considers and effectively manages risk in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Actively engage in establishing a strong control environment at GFOC
- Be a good team player and manage staff performance.
- Self-driven and motivated
- Ability to deal with senior management
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of features of Microsoft Excel Power Query, Dynamic Array formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.
- Chartered Accountant or MBA Finance or other relevant degree or certification with minimum 8 years of professional experience
- Strong Knowledge and experience of Internal Audits, Risk Assessment, SOX 404 Internal Controls, COSO Frame work and Guidelines, Process reviews.
- Knowledge of performing audit of regulatory reporting for banking and financial services sector.
