Job Description

Role Overview: Continental Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad is seeking an Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager for General Purchase to oversee the hospital's procurement functions efficiently. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in hospital procurement and possess strong leadership and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: - Manage procurement for both non-medical and medical categories, including printing stationery, biomedical spares, engineering consumables, and housekeeping items for non-medical categories. - Coordinate with clinical teams for timely availability of consignment materials and implants like Cath Lab, OT-Spine, and Ortho. - Maintain vendor challan records, usage tracking, and GRN posting to ensure compliance with consignment and implant traceability standards. - Ensure reliable sourcing of administrative and facility management items and maintain stock levels for consumables and critical non-clinical supplies. - Identify, evaluate, and develop a high-performing vendor base for all categories, negotiate rate contracts, credit terms, SLAs, and penalty clauses. - Conduct regular vendor audits and performance reviews, maintain accurate procurement logs and audit trails, monitor purchase budgets, and control costs without compromising quality. - Implement value engineering and alternative sourcing practices, oversee and optimize the use of ERP systems, and generate and analyze MIS reports for consumption, purchases, pending POs, and vendor performance. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 6 years of experience in hospital procurement with exposure to both medical and non-medical procurement. - Graduate in any discipline, preferred MBA in Materials Management, Hospital Administration, or Supply Chain. - Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Hospital ERP, strong analytical and negotiation skills, knowledge of JCI/NABH procurement compliance, and hospital audit standards. - Soft skills including leadership, integrity, process orientation, strong communication and coordination abilities, and attention to detail in medical consignment documentation and implant inventory control. Note: The job requires experience in multi-specialty or tertiary care hospitals, exposure to CAPEX procurement and greenfield projects, and knowledge of regulatory and legal aspects related to implants and consignment items.,
