Job Description

Role & responsibilities Providing customer service: Ensuring that communication is clear and proactive so that customer confidence is high. Studying tech packs: Demonstrate excellence in understanding the clients needs, and breaking down their requirements and feedback in an efficient and easy to understand manner for the rest of the organization. Procurement of raw materials: Preparing bills of materials for ordering of raw materials, and ensuring that purchases are made in the timeline required. Development of prototypes: Ensuring that red seal and gold seal prototypes are developed within the timelines requested by the client and that key milestones are achieved. Feedback and communication: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders within the organization, ensuring an efficient pipeline of communication and execution. Operational Excellence: Follow established SOPs to ensure service excellence. Focus on maximizing productivity, and optimizing internal processes. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to the production facilities of the company domestically when customers are present. Preferred candidate profile Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in export merchandising, with a successful track record in handling and executing specific client requirements. Experience in fashion, woven clothing, luxury or premium menswear product development is highly advantageous. Education: Minimum Bachelors degree. Candidates with additional qualifications such as a masters or fashion design degree will be given preference. Skills: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in MS Office with strong Excel skills preferred. Knowledge of PD tools like Adobe Illustrator is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels from customers to the factory floor. Strong analytical abilities to streamline processes and develop effective solutions and remove bottlenecks. Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for developing new business opportunities.
