Manager Legal Associate Job Description: Ensuring the company adheres to all relevant laws and regulations, including those specific to microfinance and lending. Identifying and managing legal risks associated with lending activities, such as credit risk, collateral security, and regulatory compliance. Managing litigation matters, including coordinating with external counsel and providing legal advice on various legal issues. Drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as loan agreements, security agreements, and other legal correspondence. Providing legal advice to business development teams, credit teams, and other internal stakeholders on various legal matters related to loan products, structuring, and operations. Staying updated on legal developments and changes to laws and regulations that affect the microfinance industry. Filing patent applications with relevant patent offices. Responding to office actions from patent examiners, including arguments and amendments to claims. Monitoring patent application status and deadlines. Researching relevant intellectual property laws and case precedents. Analyzing complex technical information to identify key patentable aspects of inventions. Providing legal opinions on patentability and infringement issues. Maintaining accurate client files and documentation. Tracking deadlines and managing project timelines. Preparing necessary legal documents and forms. Requirements Degree in Law with a strong understanding of Patents & Intellectual property law. Technical background in engineering field is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts in legal terms. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess patentability and navigate legal challenges. Detail-oriented with high attention to accuracy and deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
