Job Description

Inventory Controller Responsibilities: Set up inventory control procedures and systems. Manage all incoming and outgoing stock such as receipts and dispatches. Record all transactions and movements in document and database record form. Maintain and verify daily stock levels controlling SKU wise Inventory at multi storage locations. Generate stock demand and forecasting reports basis upcoming projects. Coordinating with the logistics of purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, tagging, and processing. This needs to be in compliance with GST movement of goods i.e. E-way bills etc. Owner of Inventory for individual projects. Making timely recommendations about leakages of physical inventory vs books. Proposing cost-efficient, break-even and financially feasible project inventory with cost reduction options. Review standard and actual Inventory costs each project wise, analyse deviations and actions to control in-efficiencies. Prepare Inventory budget, rolling forecast vs Actual reports in SAP (for each of the company and for each department) with set period frequency (monthly, quarterly and annual). Assist in month-end and year-end financial and cost closing of books. Maintain Inventory records as per statutory requirements. Team Leader for Inventory audit and compliances. Co-ordinating Inventory Physical verification with third party, reconciliation, deviation analysis and updation in SAP. Interact with respective stakeholders viz. Project, Purchase, Site In-charge for data points as forward-looking solutions. To assist the finance team with adequate data related to Vendor reconciliations from time to time. Any other assignments given by management from time to time. Requirements and skills: Post qualification experience of 8 to 10 years as a Cost/Chartered Accountant, or similar role. Preferred Project / Infrastructure / Manufacturing Industry. Thorough knowledge of accounting, inventory controllership and IND AS and GST procedures. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other Accounting and Auditing Standards. Experience with any accounting software (SAP will be added advantage). Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with various LOOKUPs and pivot tables). Excellent communication and analytical skills with an attention to detail.
