About the Role: We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Test Engineer to join our Software Testing/QA team. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals passionate about software quality assurance, testing automation, and ensuring high-quality product deliveries. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of manual and automated testing , good problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the development and QA teams to understand project requirements and create detailed test cases. Perform manual testing , including smoke testing, functional testing, regression testing, and UI testing. Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and TestNG under the guidance of senior QA engineers. Conduct API testing to validate backend functionalities using tools like Postman. Perform database testing using SQL to validate data integrity and correctness. Assist in performance testing using JMeter and report key performance metrics. Identify, document, and track software defects in the bug tracking system. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Follow agile and Scrum methodologies , actively participating in sprint planning and retrospective meetings. Stay updated with the latest testing tools and best practices to enhance the QA process. Required Qualifications Skills: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 1 to 3 years of experience in software testing Experience in manual and automated testing methodologies . Familiarity with Java, Selenium, and TestNG for automation. Understanding of SQL queries for database validation. Exposure to API testing tools like Postman. Basic understanding of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions /Jenkins Exposure to performance testing using JMeter Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Eagerness to learn new testing tools and techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment . Preferred Skills (Good to Have): Experience or knowledge of ETL testing and Dashboard visualization testing . ISTQB certification or other relevant certifications.
