Job Description

As an Associate Software Applications Development Engineer at NTT DATA, you will be an entry-level subject matter expert responsible for developing new applications and improving existing applications to meet client and user needs. Here is what your day at NTT DATA might look like: - Assisting in developing applications to achieve client objectives and user needs - Designing and writing code for applications and maintaining application databases - Analyzing and editing existing software applications to enhance functionality and optimize performance - Remodeling and adapting applications as needed for optimal performance - Identifying specific client needs and preferences related to the application - Testing applications extensively to ensure they are error-free - Installing applications and providing technical advice - Communicating with internal technical stakeholders to gather project information - Consulting with clients during the design phase to determine their needs - Producing software documentation following company processes and templates - Participating in software product review and team meetings - Performing any other related tasks as required To excel in this role, you should have: - Some understanding of computer science, computer programming, and application design - Ability to work well in a team environment - Attention to detail and analytical capabilities - Proficiency in Java programming and knowledge of various programming languages - Familiarity with software development processes, agile development, and integrated development environments - Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills - Ability to handle client and customer issues professionally Academic qualifications and certifications required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field - Certification in programming languages such as Java, Perl, Python, C++ - Scrum or Project Management certification is preferred Required experience includes: - Basic Software Applications Engineering or Software Development experience - Basic experience with programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python - Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems - Basic experience working with SQL - Basic project management experience or experience in an Agile environment This role is an on-site working position at NTT DATA.
