Description
In this role at Stem, you will be responsible for remotely identifying, prioritizing, and troubleshooting incidents in accordance with customer business requirements, organizational policies, and operational impact. You will schedule and monitor the execution of grid service events and create new rules for the data engine to support strategic root cause corrections. Additionally, you will monitor and troubleshoot a wide variety of information and network systems, including LAN/WAN systems, firewalls, IoT systems, operating systems, and energy storage management systems. Tracking operational incidents in JIRA and coordinating with field technicians during installation and operational issue resolution will also be part of your responsibilities. You will notify field service, customer operations, and third-party service providers of issues, outages, and remediation status. Collaborating with internal and external technical and service teams to provide temporary and permanent solutions to system issues and updating knowledge base articles will also be essential. Qualifications required for this role include: - BTech/ BE degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering from an accredited college or university. - Good understanding of communication protocols such as MODBUS RS485 and TCP/IP communications, networking fundamentals like DHCP/Static, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, and router/switch configuration, and IP address planning. - Knowledge of electrical power systems, solar power systems, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). - Experience with analyzing large sets of data and data analysis. - Knowledge of server operating systems and network devices. - Ability to think creatively to resolve problems in ambiguous situations. - Working with the execution of custom scripts (light coding/understanding). - Good verbal and written English language skills. Preferred qualifications include: - Experience in solar asset performance analysis. - Good understanding of communication protocols such as MODBUS RS485 and TCP/IP communications, networking fundamentals like DHCP/Static, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, and router/switch configuration, and IP address planning. - Experience providing remote support using virtual desktop tools. - Experience with Jira, Confluence, Tableau, Plotly, SQL, Python, Linux/ command line, Big Data visualization, and relational databases. - Analytical aptitude and ability to work under stress.
