Responsibilities Academics: • Experience in interdisciplinary teaching and research involving Tamil literature and other areas (e.g., cultural studies, linguistics, history). • Experience with research supervision, including postgraduate thesis or dissertation guidance. • Knowledge of Tamils contemporary social, cultural, and political contexts. Proficiency in using digital tools and resources for teaching, research, and collaboration. Involvement in Tamil language advocacy and cultural initiatives. • Strong publication record in reputed academic journals and conferences. • Expertise in Tamil literature, including classical and modern works, linguistic theory, and cultural studies. • Fluency in Tamil both written and spoken. • Participation in administrative activities as in when required. • Participation in the Co-curricular & extracurricular activities Student’s guidance, counselling & helping in their personal, ethical, moral and overall character development . • Research development activities & Research guidance Promotion of industry – institution interaction and R & D Extension / Industrial Connectivity Interaction with Industry and Society Participation in Community services . • Providing non-formal modes of education for the benefits of the Community Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Job rotation Dissemination of knowledge Providing Technical support in areas of social relevance Apart from the above duties, any other relevant work assigned by the Dean of the respective schools.
