Job Description

JOB PURPOSE Teaching & training Undergraduate (MBBS) & Post Graduate Medical students including Interns to develop their knowledge and skills. Optimizing patient satisfaction level through continual improvement CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Academic: Delivers Under-graduate student lectures and clinical classes Conducts Post-Graduate student classes and Clinical/ Bed-Side clinics. 2. Clinical: Attends to the OPD patients during his/her slot of OPD timings. Sees the inpatients admitted under his/her unit and also other inpatient referrals. Attends to the emergency patients during his/her on-call days. Attends to schedules of Operation Theatre, to operate and oversee the Post-Graduates. Covers up the duties of the other Associate-Professors when they are on leave. 3. Others: Submits articles to the media on a regular basis. Any other job assigned by the HOD. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES Excellent interpersonal skills. Great communication skills. Good management skills. Responsible and organized individual. Exceptional research and writing skills. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Qualification- MBBS and MS/DNB/MD in in in the concerned subject and as per these regulations. As per NMC Guidelines Associate Professor in a permitted/recognized medical college/institution Or Assistant Professor in the subject for four years in a permitted /recognized medical college/ institution. Should have at least two Research publications [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals included in Medline, PubMed, Central Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered]. Should have completed the NMC recognized basic course in Medical Education Technology. Should have completed the basic course in Biomedical Research from Institutions designated by NMC.
