Job Description

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Associate Lecturer in Computer Science to join our team at the University of York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and excellent teaching skills.

Roles and Responsibility

Develop and deliver high-quality lecture materials and assessments for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Provide individualized attention and support to students, including mentoring and guidance on academic and personal matters.
Participate in curriculum development and revision, ensuring courses remain relevant and up-to-date with industry trends.
Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Engage in research activities and publish papers in reputable journals and conferences.
Contribute to the development of new courses and programs, leveraging expertise in computer science.

Job Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (M.Tech/M.E.).
Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching or a related field, with a maximum of 5 years.
Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and staff.
Ability to develop and deliver engaging and interactive lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
