Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and functionality of mobile and IoT products, with a strong focus on testing methodologies, debugging, and automation. This role requires a deep understanding of Android systems, testing tools, and project coordination. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive localization testing to identify and report bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure product quality. Perform performance, power consumption, and thermal testing acceptance and quality control for projects. Enhance localisation testing capabilities and contribute to the department's development. Standardize and execute localization testing processes for consistency and accuracy. Collaborate with domestic and international teams to align technical planning and progress. Analyze aftersales feedbacks to improve localized testing strategies. Utilize debugging and log analysis tools for RCA of ANRs, crashes, dumps, watchdogs, and device resets. Ensure execution of various test strategies, including sanity, regression, and functional testing. Manage test case preparation, execution, and results submission with clear documentation. Maintain familiarity with the Android OS, framework, and hardware-related functionalities. Manage defect lifecycle using tools like JIRA, and version management systems. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project deliveries. Support travel arrangements for teammates, including booking flights, accommodations, and logistics. Maintain professional behavior and seamless coordination with the manager to ensure smooth workflow and team alignment. Preferred Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors degree or higher in Electronics & Communication , Electrical Engineering , or Electronics & Instrumentation ; MBA is a plus. 3-5 years of experience in mobile phone or terminal-related R&D, focusing on performance, power consumption, thermal testing, and app testing. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, STLC, and best practices. Experience with debugging tools such as QPST and QXDM for power log analysis. Proficiency in adb, shell commands, and Python scripting for test automation. Basic knowledge of test automation framework development and deployment. ISTQB Foundation Certification is an added advantage. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Strong project management knowledge and ability to work in high-pressure environments. Prior experience in testing mobile phones or chipsets in reputed companies is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with HQ, PM teams, and international stakeholders to align test strategies with project timelines.
