Opportunity –

As an Associate Editor, you will:

  • Manage the timely production of high-quality digital and print learning materials within set budgets.
  • Independently handle projects from research and inception to final sign-off.
  • Quality-check manuscripts and digital platforms.
  • Coordinate with authors, editors, designers, and technology partners.
  • Develop content plans for English language learning products.
  • Create age-appropriate and creative storyboards for digital content.
  • Conceptualize, create, check, and edit digital content in various formats (video, animation, slideshows, audio, interactivities) using the latest tools.
  • Conduct research using credible educational resources.
  • Plan and manage schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Identify, train, and develop freelance content creators/editors.
  • Develop product training presentations and creative marketing content.
  • Maintain and update a repository of efficiently tagged content/assets.
  • Handle additional editorial tasks proactively.

Your work will directly impact the quality of English language learning resources, supporting OUP’s reputation for excellence and helping learners succeed.


About You


Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent command of English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound editorial and content development skills.
  • Understanding of e-learning and latest EdTech developments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 360, Google Docs/Sheets, Adobe Suite, and at least one online course-authoring tool.
  • Creativity and good visualization skills.
  • Minute attention to detail.
  • Understanding of pedagogy.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under strict deadlines.
  • Effective organizational skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Post-graduation in English or a diploma/certificate in Publishing.
