Job Description

You will be a critical part of the site leadership team driving the people strategy, HR operations, Employee engagement, employees relations, workforce management, compliance & governance. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Talent Management & Organizational Development Develop and implement talent development strategies to attract, retain and develop top talent in collaboration with functional leaders and world area leaders. Guide and lead organizational and talent reviews to identify high-potential employees and succession planning. Collaborate with internal and external leading and development programs and support implementation to enhance employee skills. Policy Deployment & HR Strategy Execute HR policies and initiatives in alignment with India Enterprise HR organization and ensure standardization and deployment of HR policies across both sites. Provide HR expertise and strategic support to functional leaders for workforce planning and decision-making. Performance Management & Compensation Manage the performance management process, ensuring regular reviews and feedback mechanisms are in place. Lead annual salary reviews and develop competitive compensation & benefits programs in accordance with company policy and industry standards. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Drive Emerson DE&I strategies, ensuring fair hiring and career growth and fostering culture of respect and belonging. Lead awareness programs, employee resource groups, and mentorship initiatives to support diverse talent. Continuous monitoring and advocacy ensure compliance and sustained DE&I Progress. Compliance & Governance Ensure 100% compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, and company policies. Maintain governance structure and conduct regular audits to mitigate legal risks. Keep abreast of changes in labor laws and standard methodologies to guarantee critical policy adjustments. Employee Engagement & Communication Develop and drive site communication plan and employee engagement plan to foster a positive work culture. Encourage open communication through regular town halls, one-on-one interactions, and employee forums. Implement employees feedback mechanisms and action plans to address concerns and enhance workplace satisfaction. Leadership & Collaborator Management Function as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing HR insights and recommendations. Collaborate with business leaders and functional leaders of Business Unit, World Area HR Team, India Enterprise HR Team for HR related initiatives. Manage and mentor the Site HR team, ensuring effective execution of HR functions at both sites. Industrial Relations Ensure cordial industrial relations by fostering open communication, trust and positive engagement with employees and unions. Lead negotiations, resolve conflicts amicably, ensure order and maintain workplace harmony. Lead all aspects of bilateral negotiations and implement long term wage contract. Site Administration Oversee site administration functions like Security, Canteen, facility maintenance, employee transportation etc. Who You Are: You are passionate about making an impact and always act with integrity. For This Role, You Will Need: Post graduate degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or related field Minimum 15 years related working experience in a manufacturing environment and HR leadership capacity, preferably in multinational companies. Ability to motivate and influence in a complex, matrix, goal-focused organization. Proven track records of managing union. Relevant leadership experience leading HR teams in Chennai, India Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment with good planning/priority and management proficiencies. High level of flexibility, commitment, and performance standards Proficient in English and local language Comfortable in dealing with employee relations, external and internal customers; employees and management at all levels.
