Description
As an Associate Director, Technology at GALE, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to make informed decisions and create solutions for exciting opportunities within the B2B SaaS industry on a global scale. Your responsibilities will include architecting, designing, and leading the development and delivery of data platforms and applications, with a strong emphasis on data engineering. Here's what you'll be doing: - **Own Architecture & Technical Direction**: - Architect, design, and lead the development of data platforms and full-stack enterprise SaaS/Platform solutions, focusing primarily on data engineering. - Define and advocate for architecture principles for data and application layers to ensure consistency across projects. - **Build Client-Specific Data Solutions**: - Lead the creation of end-to-end data solutions for multiple client engagements, covering ingestion, transformation, storage, and serving layers. - Shape the organization and exposure of data to support analytics, CRM, personalization, and marketing performance for North American clients. - **Translate Strategy into Executable Roadmaps**: - Translate broad corporate and client strategies into clear objectives, roadmaps, and delivery plans for your teams. - Collaborate with product, analytics, CRM, media, and client teams to convert business requirements into technical designs and plans. - **Guide Engineering Execution**: - Oversee implementation by data and full-stack engineers to ensure high code quality, reliability, observability, and cost-efficient cloud resource usage. - Ensure adherence to modern data engineering and software engineering practices such as testing, version control, CI/CD, and documentation. - **Lead and Develop the Team**: - Mentor and coach a team of data engineers, full-stack engineers, and DevOps/cloud engineers to support their technical and professional growth. - Manage performance, career development, compensation planning, and budgeting for your area. - **Drive Agile Delivery**: - Execute within an Agile/Scrum environment using industry-standard tools, focusing on frequent, incremental delivery and continuous improvement. - Plan and manage team deliverables and capacity across multiple client projects, proactively addressing risks and dependencies. - **Stakeholder & Client Collaboration**: - Set and manage expectations with various stakeholders, including senior client stakeholders in North America. - Clearly communicate progress, trade-offs, and technical decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences. - **Foster a No Silos Culture**: - Work collaboratively with clients, global teams, and cross-functional roles to build reusable patterns and accelerators. - Promote knowledge sharing, documentation, and cross-team collaboration in a silo-free environment.
