Associate Data Engineer

About the Role-
We are looking for Associate Data Engineer at Modern, who is passionate about data, problem-solving, and learning modern data engineering practices, you will work closely with our experienced data team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines, enabling faster and smarter business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.

• 
  Support integration of data from various structured and unstructured sources.

• 
  Work on data cleaning, transformation, and optimization for analytics and reporting.

• 
  Collaborate with senior data engineers and analysts to understand business data needs.

• 
  Document data workflows and maintain data quality standards.

• 
  Learn and apply best practices for data security, governance, and compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (BE/B.Tech preferred).

• 
  Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.

• 
  Basic knowledge of Python/Java/Scala for data manipulation.

• 
  Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.

• 
  Enthusiasm to learn big data tools (Spark, Hadoop), data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

• 
  Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
