Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Regulatory Customer Support to join our International Specialty Products India Pvt Ltd, Affiliated to Ashland India Pvt Ltd business at our Hyderabad. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Regulatory function. This position will report to Manager, Customer Request Team. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Respond to customer inquiries on regulatory compliance and sustainability topics for personal care and household business First point of contact for managing customer requests related to Ashland supplied chemicals/ingredients Creation and update regulatory documentations to provide efficient support to customers on frequently requested topics Cross-collaboration with global teams across organization like product management, regulatory, sales, marketing, operations, R&D, manufacturing facility, etc. Involvement in regulatory compliance related activities Applying lean principles for optimizing important processes related to customer requests Serve as the first point of contact for handling regulatory and sustainability topics related customer queries, questionnaires Work closely with internal and external customers to provide communication of the status of requests Own requests to follow up with each case and complete them in a quick and qualified manner Understand regulatory issues for customers in both industrial and consumer environments. Maintain internal databases for documentation needs Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others. In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: Masters Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related technical degree e.g., M. Pharm, M.Sc.; MS Experience minimum 2 years and above Proficient at speaking, writing, and reading English; other Asian or European languages are a plus pharmaceuticals, food, and/or personal care for a multinational company Detail-oriented, excellent organizational and communication skills Able to work at times corresponding to the European and US workdays Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Compliance with Regulatory Requirements - Working knowledge and understanding of cosmetic and homecare regulations, Halal, Kosher, GMO, TSE-BSE, CMR, GHS requirements, chemical inventories (TSCA, DSL), REACH and related regulations, sustainability concepts, etc Understanding of documents like safety data sheet, certificate of analysis, etc Communication Skills - Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Able to communicate verbal and written appropriate to the audience clearly and effectively. Computer Skills - Working knowledge of current software systems, i.e. SAP, SFDC, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
