Job Description

The Urban Infrastructure & Tourism department at IPE Global Ltd. IPE Global Ltd. is looking for a Planner/Architect to work as an Assistant Urban Designer in the Tourism sector. Experience/skill sets in sustainable development, urban design, placemaking, public realm design, sustainable tourism in the corporate sector or international organisations preferred. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed design documents, infographics, reports and presentations to communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholders. Provide design inputs for various projects. Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Adobe Suite etc. to create compelling visual representations. Develop and implement end-to-end urban design solutions for designated tourist destinations. This includes envisioning, planning, and executing architectural and urban design projects. Conduct detailed site assessments to understand the existing infrastructure, cultural significance, and environmental factors that influence the design process. Create master plans that integrate infrastructure development, landscape design, and architectural enhancements to improve the overall visitor experience. Create innovative design concepts that align with the project's goals of enhancing visitor experience, promoting local culture, and improving accessibility. Integrate sustainable design principles into all aspects of urban planning and development, including energy efficiency, waste management, and green spaces. Collaborate and coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and garner local support. Develop and adhere to project timelines, ensuring that design and deliverable milestones are achieved within specified timeframes. Overseeing the execution of projects, ensuring they adhere to the approved designs, timelines, and quality standards. Support in overall business development from identification of relevant opportunities to proposal writing to forging strategic partnerships for technical proposals to contract signing. Any other tasks as assigned by the Project/Reporting Manager. Requirements: B.Arch / M.Arch / Master of Urban Design with excellent graphical skills. 0-1 year of work experience working in areas related to sustainable development/Tourism development/urban planning/ urban design preferably in corporate or international organisations. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite and ESRI ArcGIS. Highly organized and detail-oriented thinker who can juggle multiple, competing priorities. Team player and ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines. Problem solving attitude. Experience of managing teams. Willing to travel to project locations for extended periods of time.
