Assistant Professor in Pharmacy Practice

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Learning

• Deliver high-quality instruction in Pharmacy Practice at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Facilitate interactive lectures, laboratory sessions, practical classes, and case-based discussions.
• Promote critical thinking, evidence-based practice, and clinical decision-making among students.
• Develop course materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools in accordance with university guidelines.

2. Research & Scholarly Activities

• Establish and sustain an active research program relevant to pharmacy practice.
• Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
• Seek and secure external funding and research collaborations.
• Guide student research and promote a culture of academic inquiry.

3. Clinical Integration

• Embed clinical exposure and real-world pharmacy practice into the curriculum.
• Liaise with hospitals, clinics, and community pharmacy partners to support experiential learning.

4. Student Mentorship

• Advise and mentor students on academic matters, research work, internships, and professional growth.
• Supervise dissertation projects, case presentations, and experiential training.

5. Institutional Service

• Contribute to departmental and university-level committees, accreditation processes, and academic initiatives.
• Participate in community outreach, professional development events, and institutional activities.

6. Professional Development

• Stay updated with advancements in pharmacy practice and teaching methodologies.
• Engage in conferences, workshops, faculty development programs, and professional associations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Master’s degree in Pharmacy Practice, Pharm.D, or Pharm.D (Post-Baccalaureate)

  from a recognized institution.

• 0–3 years

  of academic or research experience in Pharmacy Practice or related areas.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to design and deliver interactive and practice-oriented teaching sessions.
• Demonstrated research potential with publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Commitment to academic excellence, ethical conduct, and teamwork.
