Assistant Manager – Production

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Prepare and execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans efficiently.
• Ensure the production line runs continuously without stoppages.
• Coordinate with

  Materials, Stores, Purchase, Quality, R&D

  , and other departments to ensure uninterrupted flow of components.

2. Operational Excellence

• Drive production activities using

  systematic processes and SOPs

  .
• Ensure

  on-time delivery

  of products by meeting daily and monthly targets.
• Adopt and implement

  Industry 4.0 techniques

  , digital tools, and process automation.

3. Crisis Management

• Identify risks and bottlenecks early and take preventive actions.
• Eliminate crisis situations through shrewd decision-making and swift execution.
• Maintain optimal WIP, material availability, and manpower utilization.

4. Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure adherence to

  5S, Kaizen

  , and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Exposure to at least one

  Quality Management System (QMS)

  such as ISO 9001.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and reduce waste in the production process.

5. Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Stores to ensure material readiness.
• Align with Purchase for timely procurement of components.
• Collaborate with R&D for product changes, improvements, and testing.
• Coordinate with Quality for process audits, quality checks, and defect analysis.

6. Leadership & Decision Making

• Demonstrate strong

• Guide and motivate production team members to achieve targets.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability, discipline, and process orientation.
• Make informed decisions quickly to overcome challenges.
