Designation: Assistant Manager Production Roles & Responsibilities: Operational Oversight: Assist the Production Manager in planning and coordinating daily production schedules to meet production goals. Monitor the production process to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently, addressing any issues that arise. Team Leadership: Supervise production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure a high-performance culture. Conduct training and development programs to enhance team skills and knowledge. Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the production process. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct inspections and ensure compliance with product specifications and regulations. Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to production processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Analyse production metrics and reports to drive data-driven decision-making. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for staff. Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination: Work with procurement and logistics to manage the inventory of raw materials and finished products. Ensure timely availability of materials to prevent production delays. Budget Management: Assist in preparing and managing the production budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Analyse financial reports related to production costs and efficiency. Collaboration with Other Departments: Coordinate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, engineering, quality assurance) to ensure seamless production operations. Communicate effectively with senior management regarding production status, challenges, and opportunities. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on production performance, quality metrics, and compliance for management review. Document and report any incidents or deviations from standard operating procedures.
