JD of Assistant Manager - Career Management Key Responsibilities: Company Outreach and Relationship Building: Identify potential employers relevant to the student body. Establish and maintain strong relationships with company recruiters. Negotiate placement opportunities and job postings with companies. Conduct regular company visits to understand hiring needs. Student Career Development: Provide career counseling and guidance to students on resume writing, interview skills, and professional development. Organize workshops and training sessions on industry trends and job search strategies. Conduct mock interviews to prepare students for real-world scenarios. Assist students in identifying suitable career paths based on their skills and interests. Placement Process Management: Collect and maintain student data, including academic records, skills, and career aspirations. Develop and manage the online job portal for posting available positions. Coordinate and facilitate career fairs, including company presentations and student interaction. Conduct pre-placement training to equip students for the job market. Placement Tracking and Reporting: Monitor placement statistics, including placement rates, job offers received, and average salary packages. Generate regular reports for the institutions leadership on placement activities and outcomes. Analyze placement trends and identify areas for improvement. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of student placements and employer information. Coordinate with faculty members to ensure alignment with curriculum and student career goals. Manage the placement department budget and resources. Required Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, employers, and faculty. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to analyse data and generate insightful reports to track placement success. Knowledge of the job market trends and industry practices. Proficient in using recruitment platforms and job boards.
