Role & responsibilities:- Assistant Manager - Strategic Sourcing Job Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Strategic Sourcing to join our team. This role focuses on identifying and onboarding new vendors and implementing new product sourcing strategies to enhance our supplier base and product offerings. Key Responsibilities: 1. Vendor Development: Identify potential new vendors and conduct thorough assessments to evaluate their capabilities. Build and maintain relationships with new suppliers to expand the sourcing network . 2. New Product Implementation: Collaborate with customer and manufacturing teams to understand product requirements and specifications. Coordinate the sourcing of materials and components for new products, ensuring timely availability for production. 3. Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans that align with business objectives and market trends. Analyse supplier market conditions to identify opportunities for cost reductions and improved quality. 4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and suppliers. Participate in product development meetings to provide insights on sourcing capabilities and vendor performances. 5. Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supplier performance and product quality. Address any issues related to supplier performance, quality, and delivery, facilitating corrective actions as necessary. 6. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vendor evaluations, sourcing activities, and product implementation processes. Prepare and present reports on sourcing initiatives and new product updates to management. Preferred candidate profile:- Hindi - language Speaking mandatory Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. 6 - 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the manufacturing sector. Familiarity with machined parts, castings, and forgings is a plus. Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
