Assistant Manager-Quality-Automated Testing

As a skilled Kafka Tester at EXL, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of event-driven systems and API/message streaming validation. Your role will involve working with Kafka, JSON, Postman, MongoDB, Oracle, and QA tools like X-Ray, Jira, and Confluence to execute comprehensive test strategies for distributed systems and microservices integrations. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in the software quality assurance process to ensure all software components meet company and client standards. - Review and validate software and project documentation for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to standards. - Conduct code inspections, design reviews, and test readiness reviews to ensure proper implementation and release readiness. - Plan, design, execute, and summarize reliability, functional, integration, and validation test cases for Kafka-based systems. - Collaborate closely with development teams to discuss test results, raise defects, track resolutions, and provide improvement recommendations. - Assist in audits, reviews, and compliance activities related to QA processes. - Ensure quality control and corporate governance practices throughout the project lifecycle. - Provide quality support and guidance to cross-functional teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools. - Lead and mentor QA activities within assigned projects/programs. Required Skills & Competencies: - Strong experience in Test Case Development, Software Testing, Controls Testing, and Quality Assurance. - Proficient in Kafka testing, including validation of producers/consumers, topics, partitions, offsets, and message flow. - Strong understanding of JSON message structures, schema validation, and data integrity testing. - Hands-on experience with MongoDB and Oracle for data validation. - Working knowledge of Postman, Git, and related tooling for API and repository management. - Experience with Agile methodologies and active participation in Agile ceremonies. - Proficiency with X-Ray, Jira, and Confluence for test management and documentation. - Solid analytical thinking, problem-solving, and usability testing abilities. - Good understanding of Corporate Governance and Quality Support frameworks.,
