Assistant Manager – Procurement

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional, who will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining the highest quality standards. Role & Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers through competitive bidding processes (RFQs, RFPs, RFIs). Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure the best possible pricing and terms. Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any issues promptly. Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition to receipt and payment. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Utilize procurement software/systems to track orders, and generate reports. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, legal, HR, IT) to ensure smooth procurement processes. Identify and implement cost-saving measures and strategies. Track and analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Identify and mitigate potential procurement risks (e.g., supply chain disruptions, quality issues). Other Duties as Assigned: Participate in special projects and initiatives as required. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in procurement. Work Experience Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: More than 5 Years. Strong negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, mail merge). Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferable to have knowledge of e-procurement portals, like E-procurement, N-Procurement, GEM, auction tiger, etc. Educational Qualification Bachelor in Supply Chain, BBA, BA. Minimum Experience Minimum of 5 Years of experience. CTC offered Compensation will not be a limiting factor for the right candidate(s) and will be discussed on a case-by-case basis
